MSISatmos provides temperature, pressure, density, wind, and composition for the Earth’s atmosphere over a wide range of conditions from the ground to 1000 km. It is an implementation of two atmospheric models published in peer reviewed science journals. Instantaneous measurement snapshots of the atmosphere over the range covered here are impossible. The model employs mathematical techniques which use non-simultaneous measurements, taken by a number of measurement techniques, to provide typical or climate averages for different latitudes and seasons during the second half of the twentieth century.
